The DEN
The district's newest facilities called "The DEN" opened to students at the start of the 2025-2026 school year. The cutting-edge facilities include MISD Career and Technical Education Center and the Agricultural Science Center. You can learn more about it here.

Creekside Elementary School
Creekside, the district's seventh elementary school and its newest, first opened to "Cubs" in August 2024. Serving students from PreK-5th grade, the school's dedicated teachers and creative classrooms provide opportunities for young minds to grow. From posts on the school's Facebook page, it looks like they had an amazing first year!
Creekside is located at 20655 FM 2854 behind Lake Creek High School, minutes from The Terrace.
Oak Hills Junior High School
Oak Hills Junior High serves students in grades 6-8, with classes from 7:20am to 2:40pm. Teachers have an average of 14 years' experience, and they're all dedicated to making a difference in the lives of their students. The middle school delivers a well-rounded curriculum that supports a variety of student interests and talents. Whether it's STEM, the arts, or technical education, each program is crafted to challenge students while encouraging creativity and innovation. Beyond the classroom, a wide selection of extracurriculars, from athletics and music to clubs and student organizations, gives students the chance to discover new passions and build strong leadership skills.

Lake Creek High School
The highly-rated Lake Creek opened in 2018 as the district's second high school and has quickly earned a reputation for excellence. From its standout Fine Arts programs where students and directors produce award-winning theater and choir performances to championship-level athletics competing at state and national levels, students are encouraged to explore their passions while learning from some of Texas's top educators. The school proudly maintains a four-year graduation rate of about 98%.
Lake Creek Lions Roar
Just last May, the Lake Creek High School softball team took home another UIL Class 5A, Division II State Title, their fourth in five years. The win came after finishing the season with a 40-1 record and a #2 MaxPreps national ranking. The Lions became the first Houston area team to achieve this.
